Forse più di un anno fa il mio amico Federico mi chiedeva di disegnare un brand per la nostra cittadina, un marchio che riuscisse ad identificarla nel mondo, e ogni tanto rincalzava con;
“dai disegna il logo, poi facciamo le maglie e tutto il merchandising, un po’ come I Love New York”, a tutti noi di Norcia occorre qualcosa di bello dove potersi riconoscere”
Il tempo passa e preso dai tanti impegni non realizzo quanto mi chiedeva Federico, lo avevo bene in testa, era facile bastava fare il cuore con la forma della cinta muraria di Norcia.
La domenica mattina del 28 Agosto 2016, dopo 4 giorni dal sisma che colpisce tragicamente Amatrice, e dove in parte viene colpita anche Norcia ,mi chiama Vincenzo e allo scuro di quanto già mi stesse chiedendo da tempo suo fratello Federico, mi dice;
“amico mio, Norcia ha resistito, è ferita, ma ha resistito e in questo momento serve un marchio, un brand qualcosa che riesca ad identificare Norcia nel mondo, una cosa tipo I Love New York”
chiudo la telefonata, e avendo un pò di tempo libero prima di pranzo mi metto al computer e realizzo quello che avevo già da tempo in mente, non volevo che fosse solo un brand, lo stavo realizzando con lo scopo di rappresentare il mio amore per Norcia, quello dei miei amici, di tutti gli abitanti, di chi vi avesse soggiornato o di chi in qualche modo fosse legato a Norcia.
Ho impiegato pochi minuti a disegnare quello che oggi è il logo di I Love Norcia, avevo tutto in mente, e con grande voglia e con ancora qualche minuto libero creo anche la pagina facebook.
Dopo poche ore la pagina di I Love Norcia sul famoso social network aveva più di 1000 mi piace e molti messaggi privati di persone che mi chiedevano notizie su Norcia e su i suoi abitanti.
I like e i messaggi continuavano ad arrivare e volendo rispondere a tutti quelli che ci stavano scrivendo, ho chiesto al mio amico Paolo di darmi una mano nella gestione delle attività che riguardavano I Love Norcia.
Per circa un mese io e Paolo abbiamo cercato di gestire al meglio ILN, dopo il sisma del 30 ottobre in cui Norcia è stata spogliata di quanto di più caro avesse, con Vincenzo e altri amici abbiamo deciso di reagire e portare sempre di più in prima linea I Love Norcia, come segno che la comunità Nursina non si arrende e che Norcia tornerà presto al suo massimo splendore.
In questo momento I Love Norcia è riconosciuta come fonte e cardine di una nuova vitalità che proviene da una profonda voglia di riabbracciare la nostra terra.

Maybe more than a year ago my friend Federico asked me to design a brand for our town, a brand that was able to identify it in the world, and sometimes urge;

Time passes and taken by many commitments do not realize how much Federico asked me, I had that into your head, it was easy enough to make the heart with the shape of the walls of Norcia.
On Sunday morning, August 28, 2016, four days after the earthquake that tragically affects Amatrice, and where part is also affected Norcia, I called Vincent and the dark about what was he was asking his brother Federico time, he says;
“My friend, Norcia has resisted, is wounded, but he resisted, and right now you need a brand, a brand something that is able to identify Norcia in the world, something like I Love New York”
I close the call, and having some free time before I make my lunch at the computer and realized what I had in mind for some time, I did not mean it was just a brand, it was made in order to represent my love for Norcia , one of my friends, of all the inhabitants, who had lived there or who was somehow tied in Norcia.
I took a few minutes to draw what is now the I Love Norcia logo, I had everything in mind, and with great desire and with a few minutes to spare even create the facebook page.
After a few hours the I Love Norcia page on the popular social network it had more than 1,000 likes and many private messages from people asking me news about Norcia and its inhabitants. I like and the messages kept coming and wanting to reply to all those who were writing, I asked my friend Paul to give me a hand in managing activities that concerned I Love Norcia.
For about a month, Paolo and I have tried to better manage ILN, after the earthquake of October 30 in which Norcia has been stripped of what is most dear had with Vincenzo and other friends we decided to react and always carry more first online I Love Norcia, as a sign that the Nursina community does not give up and that Norcia will soon return to its heyday.
Right now I Love Norcia is recognized as a source and cornerstone of a new vitality that comes from a deep desire to embrace our land.
